Re: '74 tires?
White strip and white letter were optional. 9,140 vehicles were shipped with white strip , 24,102 shipped with white letter. The brand was Firestone 500. This model tire was eventually recalled because of a factory defect. The size was G70 x15. The equivelent today would be 225 x15.- Top

Re: '74 tires?
...in addition to the Firestone narrow white stripe, white letter & blackwall tires, all three styles also came in the Goodyear "SteelGard" tire. I believe the brand one received could not be ordered by the purchaser of the car. You got what was installed on your car by St. Louis.- Top
