    How many bulbs?

How many 1816 bulbs light the clock, and how many 1893 bulbs light the heater control panel? Thanks, Bill. PS it's a 67.

    Bill -

There are two bulbs for the clock, and one for the "torpedo" lamp that illuminates the heater control bezels (on a non-A/C car).

"ps ....was the 257 used for the brake alarm and headlamp warning lights?"

Yes, the # 257 blinker bulbs were used for HL door and parking brake warning applications. Crack open your copy of the car's Owners Manual or, if you have it, the 1965 Corvette Shop Manual. Both provide a list of what lamps were used where...

          Jack,

Brake lite warning does not flash in 1967, only the headlite bucket warning. This change was due to the incorporation of the hydraulic brake system malfunction warning introduced in 1967

          In 67:
          Flashing bulb #257
          Brake warning bulb #1816

Ditch the Chilton's book and use GM references (like the bulb chart in your owner's manual).
