    Original Verses Repro Brake & Clutch Pedals

    Can anyone tell me the difference between original and reproduction brake and clutch pedals for '56 and '57 Corvettes. My '56 has the wrong pedals and I am debating whether to try to buy originals or just get the reproductions. Corvette Central carries reproductions of both pedals. I am wondering if anyone has had experience using these and how close they are to the originals. Thanks in advance!

      Are you talking about the metal hardware of the pedals of the rebber covers where the drivers foot applies pressure?

          Bill, thanks for the reply. I am referring to the entire pedal assembly. To my knowledge the area where you referred to where the pedal pads go is smaller on '56 & '57 's than on later years. I am wondering if there are differences between reproduction pedal assemblies and originals as to fit and function. Corvette Central sells the reproductions I am wondering about.

              Brooks, Corvette Carlisle's coming up soon. If you know someone going that would probably be your best bet for an original set. JMTCW, Gary....

                  Carlisle is excellent place to look. If you can't work Carlisle then you might try Grossmueller's for an original.
