Need help to ID this old Carter WCFB carb

It came in the trunk of my 60 and I'd like to use it if possible.

    Air horn has casting #6-1672
Fuel bowl has casting #1451 along with a bunch of patent numbers
Can't see anything on the throttle plate.

I'd just like to know the year and application so that I can get a kit for it and set it up right.

    Thanks

Looks like 1962/1963 WCFB according to my Carter info.

Thanks Edward, that narrows it down alot.

Is there any way to tell which year and possible application? I assume that it used to have a tag but without that I guess it could have come from almost any GM product back then...

The low choke and the design of the throttle arm make it a Chevrolet item, with the large fuel inlet and integral filter, I believe they were only used on 283/230hp in 60-65 and 327/250 hp in 62-65. Without the tag, jet and metering rod sizes might make it possible to track the application. Mitchell used to publish a service manual that had that info in those years.

I believe the 6-1672 air horn was used in ‘63-4.

The main body 0-1451 was used in 62-3.

          ’64 used main body # 0-1465.

These WCFB model numbers 3190S and 3191S for '62, 3500S and 3501S for '63, 3696s AND 3697s FOR '64 were used on base engine 250 hp 327s in 62 through 64 with automatic and manual trans respectively.

I don’t think they were dated other than the triangular foil tag with the carb model number which I don’t see in you r pictures.

So I think you have a ’63 250 horse 327 carb from either an automatic or manual trans car. These were from passenger and Corvettes.

            Great, thanks guys.

So my next question is...if I were to sell it what would it be worth? What would the proper 1960 WCFB be worth and are they hard to find? If they are close to the same value I might as well sell this one and get the proper one.
