Power Brake Booster "Bracket"

I am putting PB in my 1963 Roadster which currently does not have PB. I see that there is a plate/bracket for the two upper bolts of the booster. Those of you with a 1963 car with PB, could you provide me with the dimensions of this bolt plate?

It looks like in goes in the vent section of the wiper system..
Any help would be appreciated.

The repro parts dealers sell an already fabricated one, you'll also need the revits that hold the plate inside the vent opening, the AIM shows the detail, use the booster to template the holes. Good Luck!

The bracket with rivets and correct bolts are readilly available from many sources as a kit. One word of caution, you do not mention but if you are adding a 64-67 style booster and you have the original hood, you may experience hood to booster clearance problems, the 64-7 hoods have a reief in the upper framework for clearance of the booster.

Also if you are adding a dual master cylinder, you WILL also (if again, using the 64-7 booster) experience hoodframe clearance issues above the end of the master cylinder at its highest point, the 65-7 hoods have a clearance notch in the frame for that also as that is when dual master cylinders were originally used.
Just would hate to see anyone break their hood the first time they closed it after the job was finished, bled and ready for the first test drive!

Totally correct, original as designed for the car parts are essential. Bad news is 63 boosters are RARE as can be, get the right components to do it right.

I think Long Island Corvette supply may have the 63's in stock, but of course $$, other options, check with Booster Dewey or Steve Gregori at BrakeBoosters.com, they will probably have a line on one. If it were a 64-7 I could help.

Thanks to all. I have an original 63 booster with the check valve on the right side along with the hex head bolt. I did buy it at LI Corvette
