JM underbody reinf. finish verification please

The JM for 73 says that all reinforcement brackets under the body(seat, seat belts, rear compartment, etc) should be chassis black painted.

Caledonia provides black oxide for most, unpainted for rear compartment(the very long strip where hinges get screwed) and zinc plated for the shoulder belt in the rear wheel well. Someon on the board also thought the big U shaped in the tranny tunnel for the lap belt is also unpainted.

Was there different finishes for different yrs.

I wanted to paint these today. Verification of this today would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Steve I have seen both silver and black finish for the seat belt support in the drive shaft tunnel more silver then black like 10 to 1. All other supports were black finish usually dipped paint and the bucked rivets natural except for the storage door support hinge that was natural. Paul 18046

I have seen the tunnel part gold color. As Paul said black on all the other parts and natural on the storage door support.

        Thanks,
Is it black paint or black phosphate. All the Caledonia stuff is black phosphate except for the shoulder belt in the rear wheel that is zinc plated
