Sources:

(1) For front coil springs, Noland Adams' Vol 2, lists the equivalent spec (free height) in his Specifications section at the rear of the book. I presume Noland's source was Chevy...

(2) Unfortunately, there is no equivalent spec for the rear spring (free arch).

(3) I went to a Denver local suspension shop (in business since 1922) and they looked up the free arch specs in their manuals which I believe were written by Eaton using the GM PN for the spring(s) as the table lookup input... So, I hand annotated my copy of Nolands' book with the rear spring free arch specs (10" for the 9-leaf and 6.25" for the 7-leaf).

This is great information guys!
I need to take some meaurments on the 9 leaf spring I have.
I am tied up with obligations this weekend so I hope to get to it early next week....

Just to let every know I did check the free arch of my new 9 leaf spring and it was 10 1/8

I did get it installed last night and it did bring the car down a little over an inch (29.25) so I figure with a full tank and some wear and tear it should come down another inch which would be perfect.
