IIRC it was packaged in a soft plastic 14.5 oz. squeeze tube and somewhere I read, possibly the Chrevolet Power Manual, to inject the entire contents into the steering gear, which I did.

The 1052084 product is definitely a grease. I never referred to it as an oil; I referred to it as a lubricant, which it is.

I have heard this sort of viscosity grease described as "140 wt". However, I do not know if that is accurate. That's why I said it was APPROXIMATELY 140 wt.

Oils, which are definitely liquid though, perhaps, quite viscous - on the order of honey - are referred to by "weight". Greases are categorizied, among other specs, by "consistency", which is expressed by the NGLI (National Grease lubrication Institute) number.

Most automotive grease lubrication requirements specifiy NGLI #2 consistency, which is fairly soft - like a paste.

The higher the NGLI number the "stiffer" the grease until you get to something that is almost like a wax candle.

I haven't looking at this for some time, but IIRC the NGLI numbers go from #1 to #6.
