    help in the rain

    have problem with wiper's took off chrom distrubitor cover and coil to run ground from motor to battery ground. wipers work fine so thought it was not grounded, replaced chrom distrubitor cover will not work again. don't know where wiper motor is grounded or if distrubitor chrom cover is shorting the wiper motor out. randy, south bend,in. HELP!!!!!

    From your profile the car in question is a 67.

    To test the wiper motor, connect 12 volt power to the center (brown) wire and ground the other two. With both grounded the motor should run on low speed, with only one grounded it runs on high. Be careful not to short the motor out as it's tight in there.

    Instructions for the test are in the service manual you should double check that first.

    If the motor works with this test than the problem lies inside at the wiper switch or ground problem.
