Bubba did a pretty good job with a body grinder on my 59. I had to replace the lower right fender because there was no raised part where the cove molding mounts. On the front where the upper eyebrow and upper grill mount the right side had been replaced with a new section. There is a raised part where the eyebrow and gill mount. The left side was ground down and did not have this raised part. I have looked at several 58-62 Vettes. Some have a slight space between the ebrow and this raised part as well as the grill. Others have no space at all and it is hard to tell if they have the raised part. Is ther a proper spaceing or no spaceing for the eybrow and grill? I have built up the left side with some filler and added a little filler on the right side so that there is very little space between the raised part and the eybrow and the raised part and the upper grill.
I took a few photos for this subject but for some reason I can't find them in my computer.
