    Emergency 4 Way Flasher

I'm trying to find the part number for the switch unit (flasher) that would plug into the fuse block for the 4 way emergency flashers. I do know it is made by either Ideal, Tung Sol or Signal Stat.

Also, is there a date code on the flasher unit and if so, is it judged?

    Thanks for any help.

    Re: Emergency 4 Way Flasher

I don't know what the part number is, but my 70 and a lot of early Sharks used an Ideal 536 Heavy Duty Flasher. There is a three-number date code, beginning with the year and then weeks of the year, so that "020" would mean 1970, twentieth week.

I do not believe the date is judged, or at least mine never was.

Terry - The 68-69 NCRS TIM&JG states that "IDEAL, TUNG-SOL, and SIGNAL_STAT were original manufacturers, and these are used interchangeably throughout production." As mentioned, the IDEAL 536 is probably an option or an IDEAL 552, or a TUNG-SOL 552, or a SIGNAL-STAT 175 are also some likely candidates. Pete

Thanks Pat and Peter, I appreciate the information. I could not find it in either the JM or the Owners Manual. Since the JM for '68 &'69 is up for review, maybe it should be listed there in the next edition.
