    Hi Guys:

    I just checked my paperwork and noticed that my engine casting date is I 20 5 (9/20/65) with an engine assembly stamp of T0929IP (9/29/65). The body assembly build date is B23 (9/23/65) which is before the assembly date of the engine.

    I guess the early production cars had to wait for the BB engines to be built.

          Just for clarification, this scenario is only possible with an AO Smith body, and therefore a 65-66. I would expect the VIN on this car to approximate an Oct 4-10 birthday?

            Thanks for the information. I knew the car was an Oct build just never focused on the assembly dates of the engine and body before.
