    C1 Plastic wire tie location

The Judging Guide describes a single post plastic wire tie located above the steering column for our '60. I assume that it is holding the wires coming out of the column for directionals and horn. The post on this type of strap tie is made to push into a hole near the wire bundle which holds the wires in a specific location but I can't find any hole near where I think that the tie wants to be. The Assembly manual doesn't show this tie, but we did have a similar tie on the wires when we took this apart - it just wasn't plugged into any hole at that time. Is the JG mistaken or am I just not looking in the right spot?

    Thanks,
    Lee

Florian, I think you will find this plastic clip goes around the bowden wiper cable going to the wiper motor and the wires for the directional signals. If you look in the aim for the wiper system you will find it pictured. Mike

Thanks, Mike. I would have never thought to look in that section of the AIM for help with the wiring and I was convinced that there had to be a hole for the strap to affix to. Live and learn.
