      If there are not any Chapters out there willing to host, then it goes to the one(s) who show up with a proposal.

      For 2011, a National representative came to us (MI Chapter) and asked us if we'd be interested. That's when some members stepped forward and volunteered to head that event.

      If no one in your area volunteers, you don't get the National. If you want one near you, submit a proposal to the National Board.

          Patrick is 100% right. You have to step up and make a proposal, otherwise you will not get it. But be aware, it is a major committment for a chapter(s) and their members. It does not happen overnight. The 2010 crew started working on ideas in 2005 or early 2006
