    Alternator Sources

Question from a relative newbee; my non-original alternator went out and I would like to replace it with a correct unit. I have a 1981 with a manufacture date of 10/80. Would anybody have a good source for me to start to locate a correct alternator or a company that manufactures correct stamped replacements? Thanks for your help! Doug

I'd start with John Pirkle, he advertises in the Driveline and has an excellent reputation.

Review this thread and avoid Chicago Corvette and various names used on E-Bay.

            Re: Alternator Sources

I agree that John Pirkle is the go to guy. However, if he does not have your part, Ken Bruno an NCRS member has done right by me, so it is just another source for you.
kbmotorsports@frontiernet.net. He is in Driveline too.
