Have you rotated the switch to the "full bright" position?Bill Clupper #618- Top

Re: 67 cluster lights
Well, interestingly enough, the lamps are not fed directly from the switch, but the switch feeds the fuseblock and the power to each lamp is them delivered to the lamps. I'd check the connection of the 44 wire at the switch, and the check for power thru the fuse to the lamps. The 44 is the third one down starting from the edge farthest away from the wiring harness bundle.Bill Clupper #618- Top

Re: 67 cluster lights
Just as a curiosity, is the ground wire from the IP harness properly connected to the male terminal at the top of the cluster?Bill Clupper #618- Top

Re: 67 cluster lights
Alright I cleaned up and checked the terminals on the plug all were in good working order. checked all with a 12 volt test light and all were had current with the switch plugged in. but I still have no cluster lights or curtsy lights through the switch. again if I run a hot wire to the terminals to the switch everything works fine. how can 2 new switches be bad or not causing things to work- Top

Re: 67 cluster lights
last year I put 2 new switches in a 67 I restored for a customer. Both did not work properly. I found a good original in my parts stash , I isntalled it and everythig was fine. The new repro switches are crap. I don't know if it's a batch of bad ones or what???

Re: 67 cluster lights
Keith, using an ohm meter, check the switch operation/continuity. That will tell you if the switch is bad or not.
To do this, check from the 12v input pole to the instrument lights output pole, on the rear of the switch. Don't forget to rotate the switch to check the dimmer function (no/low resistance = bright instrument lights).- Top
