A friend of mine is looking to purchased a corvette that has been sold on a bill of sale and the original 60's title. The current owner stated he did not take the car through NCRS or Bloomington due to the car not being titled in his name. I don't need to hear about the legalities of title jumping but want to know what NCRS's take is on this. If the car is properly insured in the owners name with a matching bill of sale is the car eligible for judging? What about a car on a MSO/never titled, with a bill of sale?

Re: NCRS Judging and ownership?
Tom,
The two main requirements are proof of ownership 'shown in the name of, and by, the car's legally-registered owner' and proof of insurance 'all cars involved in any NCRS judging event are required to have current automobile liability insurance coverage in force during all phases of each meet and owners are required to provide acceptable written proof of such'. Arland- Top

Best to contact the National Judging Chairman to make sure your documentation is acceptable. Gary....NCRS Texas Chapter
