Are All Original 67 Power Boosters Dated?

For all those people out there with original power brake boosters. Are they dated? Just wondering, cause mine looks "original" to the car, but is not dated.

    Kirt,

I can't speak to a 67 ,and have no JG for that year, but my 66 is not dated , nor should it be . The only markings I know of are the 10;00 and 4:00 o'clock tabs , stamped 7011.

I don't believe it is dated either. I thought it had some part numbers, but no dates. Not in front of mine right now, so I'm not 100% sure, but that's what I recall from judging earlier this year.

I have should have been more clear.

I have a 67. I've looked at my 67 booster. It does not have a date on it.

**EDIT** Alrighty, I guess I'll have to go back and look again at my booster....

Dates and or part numbers can be on the front or BACK of the tabs on a 1966 "7011" booster. The dates are of the Julian variety. It took me forever to find the right date for my late June -66 car. I have seen several without dates but more with, in my hunt for a two week window booster

My 67 with a Dec. 7, 66 completion date has the original power brake booster. One tab has the last 4 digits of the part number 5867 (part no. changed on 8-22-66 according to the AIM) and on another tab there is the number 309 which corresponds to the julian date Nov. 5, 66. To say that all were dated, I can't.

These PICS are from my 69 Camaro booster. I believe they are similar to the 67 Corvette booster. The two PICS are of the same tab with the part(?) number on one side and the date on the other.

So, would a very old original looking booster without these numbers be a service replacement? I mean when I removed the bolts to take the booster off and have it replated it pulled the paint off the firewall where it was attached like it had been there since day 1. I just don't see any numbers on the tabs - part or date!

                    Kirk -

As far as I know, all original production-line '67 boosters have the "5867" tab number stamped, as shown on the Delco 1967 Booster chart; keep looking - it may be lightly stamped and hard to see.
