C2 Windshield Moulding Clip Location

Hi, On my 65 Coupe I inadvertenly filled in all the moulding clip holes when working on the birdcage years ago. (My car hasn`t had a windshield in the 7 years I have owned it). I have the two upper corner clips installed but have no idea where the other 22 go. Has anyone ever made a diagram (as I should have done) or a picture of the clips that might help me reinstall the new clips. Thanks, Mike

Mike, on the windshield frame just above the screw hole is a small indentation that I believe is for the clip to set in. If they didn't get filled, you can locate the holes by finding them. If they got filled also, can't you just clean the frame until you find the old holes? With the fat repro weatherstrip or a thicker aftermarket surround sometimes you need to relocate the holes out a bit anyway.

Hi Stewart, I sandblasted the entire frame, epoxy primed, filled all holes and dips, reprimed and polyurethane painted the whole thing with the exception of the two upper corner clips. I was trying to prevent any future rust problems. I appears By installing the gasket I have room for the clips but I am not sure plus I don`t know how many go on the sides top or bottom. I may have to restrip to find the locations but I was hoping not to. I was hoping someone may have took a picture of their clips installed. Thanks, Mike

Look in you AIM for the diagram of the clip locations
