    70 Dated fan Clutch $$$

What should I consider fair market price for a dated Schweitzer Fan clutch?

    Thanks!

Depends on whether you're talking 'core', a rebuilt/restored original, or that rare as hen's teeth NOS in box part. Swag: $50 & up for a core and better than $200 for the nose bleed parts...

The one I am looking at would be considered a real nice survivor.

It has a really nice date too.

I know it is not a lot of points in the end but like most guys here having the correct parts is kinda neat.

        Hi Bill,
Sometimes it is about the points and $$$, but sometimes it's just nice to cross an item off the "Nice to Have List"!!!
        Regards,

Your right Alan. That is where being frugal and restoring corvettes go in opposite directions

            Hey Bill,
Just like Alan, I think we all have a "Nice to Have Parts List" and that list and prices seem to get further and further apart, especially as your list gets shorter. I'm a bit of an impulse guy, and I go for a part (or a woman) if I get hot for it at the moment. With that said, "A fool and his money his money are soon parted." For my $0.02, ask questions like you did if you are in doubt (on Corvette parts, but please don't ask my advice on women). But hey, if you can find a date correct, number correct clutch for under $200, and it won't break your bank, you should be okay.
