Q-Jet insulator color?

What is the correct color of the GM '75 Q-Jet insulator that goes between the carb and manifold? Natural/brown or black?
I'm thinking it is not black, but the brownish natural color that darkened over time and use.

The ones I recall looking at were "brownish". However, I don't know that all were. I doubt that color was in the specification of this part.

By the way, the original insulator for your application was GM #354308. That part was discontinued in September, 1976 and replaced by GM #354310. The latter remains available from GM to this very day. I don't know what the difference between them is but, even if the color is different, I doubt that's the only difference.
