My 81 needs new tires and I'd like to buy a set of new/Eagle GT's like the ones that came on the car originally. My local Goodyear dealer said they don't make them anymore, are there any companies producing the older style tires?
Where can I find Goodyear Eagle GT's 225/60/R15's?

Re: Where can I find Goodyear Eagle GT's 225/60/R15's?
The base '81 OE tire was 225/70R-15 blackwall, and optional white letter tires were available in the base size and 255/60R-15.
A good available match would be the V-rated 225/70R-15 102V Goodyear Eagle RSA "police pursuit tire". Having a correct OE size and brand will minimize judging deductions while getting the safety and performance benefits of a high speed rated tire.
I don't expect the above tire to remain in production much longer as the number of in-service emergency vehicles that use this size is approaching nil. The Firestone and General equivalents are already long gone.
You can check www.kelseytire.com for the closest repro, but I don't think you will find anything very close, and check www.tirerack.com for other make/models in these sizes. You can also check manufacturers web sites. Search all by size.

No one is presently making repro tires for Corvettes newer than '72. The closest you can come is probably the Goodyear Eagle GT II
