During Flight judging are the T Tops judged on or off the car? Tx.

Re: T Tops
I think if you check the judging manual you will find they need to be removed to check the weatherstrip and all the other parts on the inside are easy to look at it when they are off. I checked every thing on the bottom at that time when I judged exterior. They are on most of the time but I had to take them off and hold them while the judges inspected them on my T-Top.Lyle

Re: T Tops
Lyle is correct, the TIM & JG says, "The owner is responsible for removing each panel so that weatherstrip may be examined." I have asked owners to remove the tops on their t-top cars when judging 70-72. Besides looking at the weather stripping I also look at the latches and the rubber tips on the latches.- Top

Re: T Tops
I've never seen it done! BUT, the NCRS Judging Reference Manual DOES make provisions for judges to request the owner to remove this/that part for visual inspection. So, I won't rule out the possibility that some judges might.
About the only place I've seen T-Tops 'dinked with' on the Judging Field is on those Shark cars equipped with anti-theft alarms and the Operations team wanted to verify the functionality of the anti-theft trigger switches...- Top

Re: T Tops
At the New England Regional, I was asked to lift them up and demonstrate the latching during Operations. During Exterior judging, I was not asked to remove them.1973 LS4 coupe. Dark Blue / Black. Turbo Hydra-Matic, PW, PB, PS, Rear Defog, Tilt/Tele, AC, Map Lamp, AM/FM.
