I have a chance to buy a set of 66 seats that are described as complete and in good shape. They were removed several years ago from a project car. My problem is that I really want a set of 64 seats so that I can have a set of leather seats made up to slip into my coupe and retain the original vinyl set. Are the interior components of the 66 the same? Should I take the 66 seats to Carlisle and work out a swap? It seems to me that the 66 seats are slightly more valuable than 64 seats given equal condition. A pair of seats seem to be bringing $600-$1000. Is that what the market is at this point?

Re: Value of 66 seats
Willard 65-66 seats are the same frames. I believe 63-64 frames are the same. I bought a set of 65 seats in Carlisle that needed to be redone the guy wanted $1200 I gave him $900 that was the best i could find. most seats where going for $800 up to 1200/1300 in need of covers and rusty rotten frames. I have been looking for the past 3 years they just keep going up up up, like any Corvette parts you buy. Also the longer I waited the worst the frames were. Good frames are tough to find. I have used the repo frames that are out there but you have to cut about an inch and a half off the bottoms so the covers fit right they are not "exact as originals" Match the old frame with the new ones if you go that route. After cutting the skirt area the covers fit fine. good luck
