    WCFB Dual Quad Carburetor Question

On a WCFB carburetor dual quad setup on a 56-57, do both front and rear base plates have the drilled and tapped center hole in the rear of the baseplate or only the primary rear carburetor? I have seen them both ways, but I think only the rear carburetor should be drilled and the front baseplate should be smooth and undrilled/tapped.

If someone could give me a clarification on that, it would be very helpful.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Re: WCFB Dual Quad Carburetor Question

First, let me qualify my answer with the fact that I don't know the history of my quad setup, but, that said, the secondary carb is not drilled and tapped for the vacuum fitting, only the primary carb is.

The matched 2x4 setup that I have on the shelf only has a port on the rear carb.
Yes, they are correct 2x4 WCFBs.

That goes along with my thinking and it makes sense to me....although not everything does...or has to for that matter. Thanks for your input, gentlemen.
