Need to identify a Big Block

A friend of mine just uncovered a new, complete engine, big block, in his fathers garage. We took all the wrapping off of the engine and found the following numbers. I need help in identifying this engine.

    Cast Number-3969854
    Cast Date-G7-70
    Stamp pad- CE153071

Where is the numbers man, Joe?

This casting number was used for 69 to 72 396 / 402's CE shows it was an over the counter engine.

Looks like it was used in multiple applications in a variety of HP ratings from 240, 265, 300, 325, 330, 350, 375, . Is it a 2 bolt or 4 bolt main, do you know ??

In order to really ID exactly what it is, we need an assembly part number. The casting number just tells us what the block is and the "CE" number is just a sequential number. If it's a new engine, is there any sort of crating that might have a part number or part tag on it?

If there is no assembly part number that can be found, at all, the cylinder head casting number might help us narrow down what it might be.
