Back when I used to do PVs -- back in the dark ages -- I checked the windshield and headlamp washer operation. Went on to check a few other things, then asked the owner to lower the headlamps. Checked some more things and looked for fluid on the ground under the headlamps. "Excess" is a subjective term, and thus everyone's definition can be different.

Owners commonly wiped the excess spray off the body during this time, so that the overspray didn't flow to the ground. If they didn't do that on their own, I suggested they do it.

Other PV checkers may have different practices -- your best bet is to communicate with the appropriate Team Leader prior to attempting the PV.

      Dick -

The same check valve/tee was used on the '69 Camaro Rally Sport (and CE1) headlamp washer harness, but it's not being reproduced as far as I know. "Bel Air Bob" is reproducing the washer pump solenoid ($200), but I haven't seen anyone doing the check valve/tee yet - it's the only part of the system that isn't available.

        Terry and John
Were the headlight washers on all 69 Corvettes?
        Thanks,

I believe ALL 1969 Corvettes had headlamp washers as standard equipment, but it wouldn't surprise me if someone showed up with a real early one that didn't have them.
