Ordering Paint

I would like to purchase some paint for small items on the car. I have a code of 948 Corvette Dark Green. Do I just tell the paint supply this information and they work their magic?

sort of, you need to decide what type of paint, lacquer, acrylic enamel, single stage urethane, base coat clear coat, semi gloss interior / exterior, ect, a good paint shop should be able to help you figure out your needs and abilities, just stop by and ask them,

I just want to experiment with painting when I get back from a deployment and was doing some research.

If You Give Any Auto Body Supply Store That Sells Paint The Code (948 ) They Will Use This To Cross Reference To Thier Brand Of Paint (ppg , Dupont) And They Can Mix Whatever You Need. Good Luck
