    70 rear quarter trim screws

Can someone post a picture of the screws that attached the rear quarter trim back by the seat belt retractor and in the lower front by the door opening?

The panels were not attached when I purchased the vette.

    Thanks,

    Bill

I do not have a picture, but they are polished Phillips head and very very short--about 1/4 inch I would guess. Beware of ones any longer as they will punch thorugh the panel inside.

      Thanks Reba,

I am specifically looking for the interior screws and not the screws that go through the metal plate that you see when the door is open.

I know they are chrome but I am wondering what size and if they are pan head or otherwise.

      Thanks! Bill

Re: 70 rear quarter trim screws

        Hi Bill,
The screws on my 71 coupe are chrome, pan head, phillips. They are 1/2" long and like many interior screws have a little loose 'collar' fixed to the screw shank to protect the material they fasten.
The screw that is below the rear window and fastens the lock pillar trim to the under window trim and the screw at the top near the halo trim are chrome, have the same head, but don't have the 'collar', but each has a loose polished grommet instead.
I can send a picture this afternoon if you need to take a look.
        Regards,
        Alan

Thanks Alan! A picture would be great. Also not mine is a convertible so I do not have trim and hence screws by the back window.

            Hi Bill,
I didn't get a chance to check back until this morning. I'll take the pictures and add them this afternoon.
            Regards,
            Alan

              Hi Bill,
It's been quite a wait for a pretty unimpressive picture!
On my 71 coupe the lock pillar trim panel shows 4 screws. 2 short screws, 1 at the bottom of the panel near the rear corner of the seat and 1 at the cover for theshoulder belt mechanism. 2 long screws, 1 at the lower corner of the rear window and 1 at the upper corner joining the halo trim.
There are also a couple of dark screws that are used to mount the panel to the birdcage but are covered by other pieces of trim.
              Regards,
              Alan
