Are the Schrader valve stem extensions on 70-72 PO2 covers made of black plastic?

The manual states they are 1.3" long and radial grooves and screws on the standard stem. Also states the center shaft is white. I assume this replaces a "DILL" screw on cap.

Not much else is stated about them. Are these available on the aftermarket?

Yes.

Yes.

Yes, I've seen them in blister packs at various auto parts stores. But, they're not all that common of an inventory item. I believe most of the major Corvette catalog houses also stock them.

The reason the JG states the center is white is because there are several suppliers/sources and only some have the black/white vs. all black construction...
