Hi Joe,
I am looking for the part # for a oil pressure sending unit for a 90 ZR-1. I found part # 100961 but it is discontinued. Any help would be appreciated.

First of all, there is no GM #100961. However, I think you've got the oil pressure and oil temperature senders mixed up. The oil TEMPERATURE GAUGE SENSOR for your application is GM #10096135. It's still available from GM for about 50 bucks, GM list.

The OIL PRESSURE SENSOR is GM #12555492. It's also still available from GM for about 50 bucks, GM list.

There's also an OIL PRESSURE SWITCH somehow involved, but I don't fully understand its application. It's GM #25036935 and it's also still available from GM for about 25 bucks, GM list.

If you post a photo of the failed unit you have, I might be able to ID it.

I believe the switch Joe mentioned is the low oil pressure sensor switch. Possibly a switch used to relay a low oil pressure condition to the DIC.

I also seem to remember there was a feature of the ZR1 / LT5 that would not allow the engine to start until proper oil pressure was achieved. Can't confirm that though without a little research.
