Sometime ago, I came across this carb on ebay as advertised for a Holley 3810:

Just about everthing wrong about this carb for a 67 3810. Adjustable fuel bowls, wrong throttle and base plate, PCV vent blocked, no choke pulloff and vent blocked.
But when I saw this:

I bought it.
The date code on the body of 763 is one week before my 67 327/300 engine. I found when I got the carb (as in the pictures above) the only thing which was original to this 3810 was the main body and some of the parts attached to it, and the 4743 metering block. The rest was all from some other earlier Corvette or passenger car with a #19 secondary metering plate, which was used on a 327/275 hp engine.
So, I saw a fun project in restoration of this main body to a correct 3810 for my 67 327/300 Corvette.
