    56-57 paint lines

Few years ago a women having bought this 57 when new would have me maintain her Corvette and then gave it to her grandson that said he would keep it for ever then sold it two weeks later braking her heart (she was 86 years old) just for the money ! Any way it was a base 57 no radio, heater,HT, courtesy lights , 3 speed one Carb and all original down to the tires . I took pic's of the paint lines for my own interest ( how many have seen this)

Thanks Roy! My '57 has the original paint in the holes--doors, hood, trunk, top compartment, etc. Mine is Polo white with red interior so the body and instrument panel are both white and the inside of the compartment between the seats. I have to check but I believe the underside of the top compartment is Venetian red with the top side and edge white. Also, the "worn paint" on the underside of the compartment lid that has been rubbed through by the seat backs looks like mine.

Great pictures! Too bad the kid sold the Corvette.

You know it's funny you would say that about rubbing the top seat area . Like this 54 , you know it has the original seat cushions or restored correct because they will ALL have these markings from the soft top lid.

But I see many restored 53-55 that you can pass your hand under the soft top lid ( all that money to restore and the seats fit lousy ) see below! may be repro seat frame springs.
