    Corvette Forum Problems??

Didn't see this posted here yet but know several of us are also are members of the CF. It seems the last couple days there has been connection problems. Yesterday it seemed slow all day long and when you did connect it was very sluggish. Tried several times today to get on with no luck. Has anyone been able to connect today? Thanks, Shooter

Early this morning. It is site problems I think. Maybe a virus has got them.

Only briefly - they're still having server problems, just like yesterday and last night.

You can only cram so much advertising into one website, then it get's overloaded and dumps. Seems the owners haven't realized this, as that site is always slow to load. There is a great wealth of information over there, like spraying your rotors with WD-40 to keep off the rust! PT

There is a wealth of information there and on other sites. Also there are a lot of members who "drive" their cars rather than look at them.

                Adblock plus is your friend:

Adblock Plus, the most popular ad blocker on Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Android and iOS. Block pop-ups and annoying ads on websites like Facebook and YouTube.

Might be a coinkydink, but my jag-wire owners site using the same software as CF is suffering the same malady.

                          Damn right!

But WD-40 on the rotors doesn't last very long. Better off using Shell Rotella.

                            Joe,

Righto! The extra Zinc helps increase your stopping distance!

                              Michael,

I've had Adblock Plus for a long time. I use Mozilla, only the SeaMonkey version........no crappy T-Bird/Firefox for me!

The combination manages to block most of the advertising, but the page has ALWAYS been slow to load. Once it does load, I see that it doesn't FULLY load until about thirty seconds elapse. While that's happening, the page jumps around (scrolls up and down). Finally settles down after fully loaded.

                              A big PITA.

I like it though, good group, trying to do the best they can, but, most importantly, DRIVING and ENJOYING their Corvettes.
                              Lotta funny stuff though.

But, then again, someone who needs to know the width of their Corvette's ignition key, to the third decimal place is not only funny, but sad.

Gotta go................and take my OCD meds now.
