Quicky question ---

Is there a real difference between the HD/F41 and STD suspension assemblies (shock mount bolts)?

Reason I ask is the set I have are for F41/HD and I was going to use them on my STD suspension car. I have had this set for a couple years and figured while I was freshining up my rear suspension I put them on.

I sort of remember hearing that the assemblies are "beefyer" but the orientation of the shock would not change between the STD and HD parts.

Any insight is appreciated.

Bill,

yes the lower shock mount bracket is different, it is angled to allow the wider F-41 shock fit without interferance from the trailing arm. The upper bolt is the same.

Definitely. In fact, GM discontinued the standard suspension shafts about 30 years ago and replaced them, for SERVICE, with the F-41/FE-7 shafts. After that time, you could only purchase the HD shafts for ALL 1963+ Corvette SERVICE.
