Re: Rick Snow
We in the Ontario (Canada) Chapter are shocked and saddened by this news. Over the years, Rick joined us often to help with judging at our Chapter Meets, which we appreciated tremendously. He was a very knowledgeable C2 BB man.
Rick was a friend to many here in Ontario. We will miss him very much.
Rest In Peace, Rick.

Re: Rick Snow
Damn!!!
I never met Rick but I knew him well.
This tragedy should remind us all that our online friends are valauble people. So, Stay Safe, all my friends.
Joe L. (another Vetter that I never met, but know well), I owe you a beer for your story. What goes around, comes around, and Corvetters are good people. You never know when a favour will pay you back many times over.
Condolences to Rick's family and the Quebec Chapter.
Think I will go and raise a glass to one of the good ones.- Top

Re: Rick Snow
...very sad news! I "knew" Rick through this Board and occasional emails. I helped him out with his "hot running" L-71 problem - convert the OE ported vacuum advance to full time. It worked out very well for him, and to return the favor he offered to copy his '67 AMA Specs and send them to me, which I accepted and greatly appreciated.
Rick was clearly a very bright, accomplished, and generous guy. We vintage Corvette enthusiasts have all lost a good friend.
As a Canadian, Rick had some very insightful comments on the American political and social scene, and I always enjoyed hearing his views.
Life can be ephemeral, so, however your day is going, make the most of it. Many of us will never know when the last day will come, and it may come without notice, long before we expect it.

Re: Rick Snow
I have been away on business, I was very sad to hear from Mike Ward today of Rick's passing.
Last time I spoke with Rick was at our end of season road tour, like the rest of us he was just happy to be out with his friends driving his old Vette on such a beautiful late fall day.
May he rest in peace.

Re: Rick Snow
Rick Snow, What a great NCRS guy always happy always giving. He always took time to attend our Ontario Chapter meets. His knowledge and expertise with 1967 Big Blocks was superb. His passion was exceptional. Rick, I will miss you.

Re: Rick Snow
I never had the pleasure to meet Rick but from our correspondence he was the type of guy that you knew you would like. He had posted about 5 years ago about a 1967 corvette that he had paper work for and wondowed if the car was still around. The car turned up a few months ago. A young fellow and his mother had inherited it after his father had passed away. Rick graciously provided all the information that he had. My condolences to his friends and family.

Re: Rick Snow
I'm going tonight, but not positive if I can make it tomorrow for the service.
Here is the link with the address and hours if anyone else needs it.

There is also an online guest book accessible through the same link. If you knew Rick and would like to leave a few words, it would certainly be nice for Sue.

Re: Rick Snow
On behalf of all the members of NCRS Quebec, we are saddened by the passing
of our long term member and good friend, Rick Snow. Rick was there at the founding of the chapter and has been a great supporter all these years. We will miss his impromptu visits to Regionals and Nationals and other Corvette events all over the country with his http://ncrsquebec.com/rbd/bodydrop.html
We will miss Rick for his easy going lay back behaviour, his friendly personality,
his love of the Corvette hobby and his ready to go anywhere attitude.

Re: Rick Snow
Condolences to Rick's family, friends and especially to Sue.
Distance and borders cannot deter good friendhips. Rick and I exchanged many phone calls and E-mails while he was working his '67. He seemed to have an insatiable appetite for knowledge. It seems that over time, we may covered nearly every part of his car, Corvette history, tank sheet, on and on. He was eager to learn and share all that he could about Corvettes. One of the nice guys, he always managed to look me up at every meet that he attended, just to say, Hi!
Kissimmee and the "Blue Max" will not be the same this year.
Just remember the good times.- Top

Just back from Montreal, 800 miles with Brian Hay in a C5, Wonderful service. over 250 people in attendance from as far away as England, Spain and Switzerland.
Rick touched many lives in his 0+ years on this earth. He was honoured in a wonderful service, I just wish, we had had the opportunity to play one game of Golf or hockey together. I am sure he would have k... me.
Bless Sue for her strength.
RIP Rick,

Re: Rick Snow
Glad you guys got back OK Scott.
Good seeing you again, also nice to meet Brian. Unfortunate that it was under such circumstances...
I agree a beautiful service, unfortunately my second funeral in a week.
Really reminds me that we truly only have today, I best not leave what's important thinking I'll always have tomorrow.
