    Repo '67 Wiper arms.

Who makes the best reproduction wiper arms, the ones with the set screw?

    Thanks,
    Tom McCabe

Not sure if their repro's have the Trico logo and info on the inside ss cover that covers the spring. This is very easy do spot on the judging field.

The repo wipers are functional but if you are concerned with judging points you would be better off finding some originals.

Tom - In my opinion no one makes reproduction windshield wiper arms that match the original 67 (and 66) Corvette brushed finish TRICO windshield wiper arms, but then again, I like original stuff. In fact even the later TRICOs sold by GM Chevrolet SERVICE DEPARTMENTs for the 66-67 Corvettes are no match to the original 66-67 Corvette brushed finish TRICO w/s/w arms as they have some of the same "features" that the reproduction arms have. Seems like these GM SERVICE arms not the original arms are the one that were used for the "exact" reproductions.

Regarding the current reproductions that I have seen, they are functional as someone has already pointed out, but do not in my mind do not measure up to originals in the originality category for Judging. From the originality/configuration perspective, the "brushed" finish on the reproductions and the later GM SERVICE arms is clearly different for the originals and detectable and the head of the adjusting screw on the reproductions is markedly different and detectable. In addition the underside spring cover plate on reproductions and the GM SERVICE arms is either not there or only has the outlined "TRICO" logo stamped on it rather that the outlined TRICO logo with the various part numbers which is readily detectable.

My $0.02 since you asked, but it's Your Car, so it's Your Call.
