my 62 doesn't have any washer parts under the hood. It has everything set up outside. Is there a site I can go to to see how to install the water container and necessary plumbing under the hood? Joe

The AIM (Assembly Instruction Manual) shows the routing. It is available from NCRS or other Corvette vendors. Tom Maxwell is the person to go to for parts or system repairs. If you are missing parts call Tom. His number is in the NCRS driveline under services performed. -

Thank you Greg for the information. I don't believe I have this book. I have about a dozen different ones including Noland Adams. I read a thread about what a pain the system is. They were saying it really doesn't work very well. I wonder how much of a deduction it is if it is there but doesn't work. JoeComment

There would be a 20 point deduction in Operations if the system did not work. If it were missing there would be an additional 10 point deduction in the Chassis section.
If you were to follow the "Maxwell" suggestion the system would work well.

Thank you Gentlemen: I forgot about the AIM. I have one for my 65 that I am working on but the pages are very difficult to read and identify the images so I don't use it. I got it from a catalog. Is the one from NCRS clear? There was a mention of "Maxwell". I don't know what that means, could you explain. I appreciate all of your input. JoeComment

The AIM books we work with came from various sources and we're down to copies of copies which is why the print quality is what it is. But, we've all learned to 'live' with less than perfection in this area...
You might find the same AIM from Mid-America differs from that supplied by NCRS and/or Michaelis/Pro-Team. But, that's a learning curve issue that comes with experience and shopping comparison, one book at a time...

Be prepared to spend big money to get a correct working system, I would guess about $1K? Spent close to $500 to have Tom get mine working, and I already had the system and vacuum tank.

I find like everything else If you use them quite often they work pretty well, using them once or twice a year requires alot of constant testing and tweaking but is worth not losing 25 points on ops.
As my Mother used to tell me "the less options you have" the easier this whole judging thing gets. Maxwell is the man, does great work.

Bingo!!!!!! I now see the mention of Maxwell. Had a senior moment but I am back on track. Thanks. I will try the NCRS AIM for my 62. It can only be better then the 65 AIM I have. The problem is many pages only have partial images. As mentioned we must live with it. If I can't do it then I guess Maxwell will be hearing from me.

As Jack mentioned Joseph, '62 was the last year for the C1 type of washer system, completely different from what came on the C2.
Even though the wipers are electric, the washer system runs on eye of newt, lizard tails, and specific spells that need to be chanted during a full moon.
OK, so maybe I'm exaggerating (a bit), but it is a Rube Goldberg type contraption that is vacuum controlled (no electric switches), and uses vacuum from the engine through a vacuum tank to power the pump.
You'll have fun figuring it all out for sure, I think there was an article on the "restorer" CD.
