    Re-Assembly Process

I just got my body back from the body shop and am ready to start putting it back together. Where do I start so I do not have to take things back off to put other things on later. Is there a process of what comes first, second, third and so on ????? Thanks Ron

Ron, check the archives for recent discussion on this. "disassembly sequence" back around Sept 20th. There is a link to a good summary; just reverse the process.

        Re: Re-Assembly Process

Ron, I am just finishing up a multi-year restoration of my 63 roadster. I have done all the work myself except for paint and bodywork. I am really familiar with the assembly / reassembly of this stuff. Please feel free to contact me if you need any help.

In simple terms, you can pretty much complete the body off the frame, I left my interior out so I would not damage it during the mating of chasis / body. Put as much as you can back on the body, before droppping it on the chasis. Finish the chasis, run in the motor, check driveline all before putting the body back on.Let me know how it goes.

I forgot to put the accelerator linkage in the trans tunnel and it was a bear with the body one!

Suggest you put the weatherstrip on before installing the doors, hood and decklid.
