Re: 35 years stored in a bus 59 Vett
For some reason, I can't get enough of those photos. It's amazing to me just seeing all those old classics falling apart. It also bothers me that there are many guys out there who would love to have them, totally restore them, and take great care of them. It's like a train wreck - I hate seeing those cars like that, but at the same time, I can't look away. Good post Roy - I think!?!?!?!?

"ok Roy, how did they get it in there?"
Caltech students took it apart and put it back together inside the bus???
Look at the pictures of the Ferraris, the Avanti and the formula cars from 3/26/09

The car was at Carlisle in August; I found the story so unique and restoration so fresh that I picked it for a "Celebrity Judging" Award (stds for judges aren't very high), so maybe it appears in Carlisle's Sunday Awards presentation.- Top

I stopped to check on a 59 stored in a 'lean to' building just off of 64 in Illinois, half in, half out. Same situation, been sitting for many, many years and the owner was going to restor it some day. He was sure it was very valuable as it was. I didn't argue.David Dawdy- Top
