    Not being a C3 person, I can only say what's in the 1969 Chev P&A30, Rev. 7-1-69:

    68 Pass. w/C.A.C. (396, 427) # 3931002

    69 Corvette (C.A.C. w/H/Per.) (350, 427) (exc. 3 x 2) # 3955182

In neither entry are the number of blades nor the diameter listed.

The judging guide is rather non-conclusive on the subject saying essentially that A/C equipped cars used 7-blade fans with PN and date code embossed while non-A/C cars used 5-blade fans without PN/date identifying marks. But, it goes on to say that 'some' A/C equipped cars have been seen with 5-blade fans having a slightly deeper blade pitch than those used on non-AC cars.

Your copy of the AIM book ought to nicely call out which fan (by PN) was 'intended' to be installed on your A/C equipped BB. Flip to the rear of the book where the optional, C-60, A/C system is defined...

        David------

Most, if not all, 1969 big blocks with C-60 used fan blade GM #3955182. This is a 7 blade fan of 17-1/2" diameter. It has the part number stamped on one of the blades. This blade assembly may also have been used for some small blocks, especially L-46 with C-60.

As far as I know, this fan assembly is not reproduced, but it's possible that's changed by now.
