Can someone help me identify the following Carter WCFB: airhorn 6-1396 and body 0-1241.

The primary Carter components (air horn, body, base) were used on different specific Carter models that served different car mfgr applications. Often, when these carbs went though the hands of a rebuilder, various pieces were 'shuffled' to create a functional/working carb that served a particular purpose. It was the ID tag that provided the original target Carter model number, but these were frequently discarded...

In your case, the 6-1396 air horn WAS used in Corvette applications. It was factory installed on 2818S carbs employed in 1958-60E. And, it was used on 3059S carbs for the 1960L-61 model years.

The 0-1241 body isn't recognized as being a 'Corvette' piece...

Thanks Jack. I knew that the airhorn was correct for corvette, but the body was stumping me. As you suggested, someone must have used parts from different WCBF's to get to a working carb.
