GM Dealers offered the Kits Catalog # 8.821
Was looking when GM Offered the kits. When they were offered ?
Looked up on the 2 GM parts Catalog effective 1973 showed from 53-73 The GM Catalog dated 1981 does not show the Highway Kit.

There was a time long long ago when people carried tools and could FIX cars.
But today they call AAA

Tom, I am not certain about the kit, but I bought my GM metal fire ext. with a metal bracket from my Chevy dealer about mid '65, I think. I have to go look at my receipt for exact date. It was in a display case in Parts Dept. along with flares, polishing cloths folded in a package (I bought), floor mats (Rubber Maid, not GM) that I also bought.
