Re: Replacing seat Belt anchor how to put in rivets?
Bob, I think the only reason I was able to squeeze the new brackets in was due to the stack of body shims I had between the body and the frame. Fewer shims, less space. I just put the body back on and used less shims and I'm sure I would not be able to get the brackets in now. Easy when the body is off.
I used less shims because whomever removed the body in the past added too many. I got the doors aligned and the body level with zero shims in two locations and one shim in the other locations. We removed 6 shims from the front right and two from the front left when we took the body off and it was not at all level and the doors were not aligned.
Saying that, probably the only way to get them in is to loosen all of the body to frame bolts and lift the body an inch or so to gain access. Other than that I have no idea.
Hopefully others will chime-in.
Cheers
