Has anyone seen a 1980 with no a/c I,am looking for pics on the under dash ducting .Iam told there is a is a flapper door fixed in the duct on the dash ?unlike the a/c cars.thanks for any help. david

I don't see how anyone could have seen one since I don't think that any were made. I believe that A/C was included as standard equipment for the 1980 model year. I don't think that an "A/C delete" could be ordered.

A/C was made standard late in the year on the 1979 model year Corvette. No 1980 Corvettes without air were ever made.

In my 1953-82 chevrolet parts book . they list many parts for a 1980 with out a/c . in group 9.787 and 9.786 maybe mistake ?
so whats call this a 1979 with no a/c (same dash panel)
does any one know how this non a/c set-up looks???

My cousin ordered a 79 Corvette in late March 1979 from Sport Chevrolet in Silver Springs , MD with A/C. The dealer made a mistake and didn't check the box on the quick spec ordering form C60 air conditioning. Corvette came in June 79 at Sport without air. They quickly changed color and options on a Corvette already in order bank and got him another identical optioned Corvette with air by the end of July 79. It was Yellow with Oyster Leather. The weird deal was A/C was made standard late 79, (don't remember the exact date, must have been around May 79) his order must have been already sent to plant computers (sitting in St. Louis Plant bank waiting to be built) and was one of the last Corvettes built without air as standard option. I remember there were alot of price increases during the 79 Corvette model year.
Just checked Corvette Black Book and it says last price increase was 5/7/79, making A/C, Power Windows, and Tilt Telescopic Steering standard equipment. Parts book showing an 1980 Corvette without air is wrong.

PS The factory window sticker showed the 1st Corvette (June) without A/C had the price increase and A/C installed in Corvette. (which it wasn't). I saw the window sticker on 1st Corvette that came in at Sport.
