    66 power brake conversion

    Is there a difference between manual and power brake strikers that go on the brake pedal arm? I don't see mention of a difference in the assembly manual in the J50 section, but I think I remember a reference to it on this board.

    Manual brake cars don't use a separate bolt-on striker - the switch plunger rests directly on the edge of the pedal arm. J50 cars use the separate bolt-on striker, which attaches to the upper hole in the pedal arm (which is for the clevis pin on manual brake cars), and the clevis on the booster rod attaches to the lower hole in the pedal arm.
