Pete you are correct as you can see in my reply "if I remember correctly". As something is added to the brain some other important item is removed. Paul 18046

I have a VERY LATE 1966 327/300. The radiator cap and overflow tank on my car are original to the car. I took a close look at the cap, and it looks like the cap in the photo posted by Rick Smith. My cap is not as clean (it has a little patina) however, the stampings and letters look the same.

      Jim,
You might have missed my first comment, because of a picture screw-up, that my very pretty 1967 cap is a Long Island Corvette reproduction cap. The picture was taken shortly after receiving it a year ago.

      Happy New Year,
      Rick

            Jack,
While I do appreciate the offer to purchase this piece, it is not something that is for sale at this time. Once I finish my project cars (this could be years), I will be liquidating many of these parts. I will be hanging on to this stuff until then for fear of getting rid of something I may later need, and have to purchase. I know I have already sold some items in the past that I wished I would have kept.
On another subject (the offer to purchase), I would just want to point out that the "buying and selling" of anything on this discussion board is strictly prohibited and runs the risk of removal. In the future you may want to send a "private message" with offers such as this as to avoid that problem.
            Thanks,
            Lynn

              Paul,
Nice to hear from you . Hope the holidays were well to you and your family. Looking at this photo, I notice I have an exact duplicate to yours, which now has me questioning my earlier posts on the RC-26. I did have that one tagged as coming from the '65 365 car that I sold last fall, but I am now thinking I may have mis-marked this item. I will have to look closer at some of my pile of radiator, and gas caps to try to verify this if I can.

                Re: Rc-26 Radiator Cap

Back when I was having overheating issues with my '67 427, I put a nice looking new repop RC-15 on the radiator. I had one that has two arrows you are supposed to line up with the drain hose vent, and when it overheated the overflow went out the correct way, through the hose down the side of the radiator. The new repop RC-15 had overflow going all around the sides of the cap and very little down the hose. I am wondering if these repops really are designed for the single vent hose release and they do not work as original, anyone else seen this with the repops?
