Re: Member # 16 passing
What a truly neat guy. I'd like to pass on a quick story.
After judging M.L.'s beloved Pennant Blue '55 at a Lake Erie chapter meet many years ago, I was explaining why we had to make a minor condition deduction for three small paint chips on the drivers door behind the rear view mirror. "Oh that's OK" he said..."Do you know how that happened...I was driving back from Cypress Gardens and heard a rattling noise. I looked out just as the rear view mirror came off and bounced three times before I reached out and caught it in my hand...Ha, Ha, Ha".
A short time later while driving my then nearly new '86 back from Bloomington, I got a decnt size stone chip in the nose. While initially very upset, I then relaxed and chuckled after remembering M.L.'s story and attitude.
