    55 block casting #

hello all . this past weekend i was digging arround in an old 55 2 dr post i have and believe it or not the engine fired up after sitting there for the last 15 years . i believe the engine to be origional to the car as well as the power glide that does not work , but i have no idea where the stamp pad is on a 6 . the block casting number down by the fuel pump is 3836233 and the head number is 3835919 . can anyone help me verify that it is an origional 235 ?????? and as to where to look for the pad if there is one???

    thanks Don..

Stamp pad is just behind the distributor hole in the block.

Try the Tri Five web forum for further identification on the castings.
