I've had some e-mail's asking me how to find a 55 to early 56 wiper motor because mostly what they see on e-bay are seller selling one that always say 55 to 57 but the slider for 55 to early 56 is different and don't use a plastic slider .Well! Now and then you'll see a (first design) 55 12V truck wiper motor for sale that's the same design as Corvette but for the rear plate design .If you have or can find a Corvette wiper 55 to 57 motor remove the back plate and install it to the truck motor and now you have a 55 to early 56 original design motor ( yes the top slider plate doesn't have the correct number ). I bought a NOS truck motor (cheap) because how many people are looking for a truck motor (few) added my original back plate and top slider plate and now have a new wiper motor.
I just thought this may help some one to find the correct design motor.Hope this post may help you come up with the correct design motor
